Storytelling through performances provides an educational format, a means to externalize suppressed emotion, evokes memories, leaving a lasting impression and provides an outlet to engage conversation.
• We will be presenting The Milagro Beanfield War, the play based on historic issues of land grants and water rights and culture in Northern New Mexico and Southern Colorado in late spring.
We will be recruiting 12 male and female actors through April 11, 2025.
History Colorado will host us for two performances, and we will take the performance to Trinidad. We may have one additional performance in Walsenburg or Trinidad on May 31, 2025, or June 1, 2025.
Recruiting actors through April 11
Auditions April 12: To select roles. Acting experience is not required.
Rehearsals: Will be scheduled weeknights and weekends beginning April 14, 2025
Performances:
History Colorado – Denver – Thursday, May 29, 2025, 12:30-2:00 p.m. (actors arrive at 10:30 a.m.)
History Colorado – Denver – Friday, May 30, 2025, 6:30-8:00 p.m. (actors arrive at 5:00 p.m.)
Pay: Actors will be paid $100 per performance. Rehearsals will be paid for based on ticket sales. Ticket sales will be divided amongst actors.
