Scientific and Cultural Facilities District
The SCFD is a seven-county tax district created within Colorado law, approved by Colorado’s General Assembly, and renewed by voters multiple times over more than 30 years.

We have helped launch and continue to be the corporate partner behind Colorado Gives Day, which has raised over $500 million for thousands of nonprofits.

Carter Martinez Charitable Trust
The Carter Martinez Charitable Trust is a private foundation located in Greenwood Village, CO that primarily funds general operations through the interest and dividend income from investments and capital gain distributions from investments. Grantees such as Reed College and others receive support from the Trust, which made four grants last year.

Fort Garland Museum & Cultural Center
Fort Garland was built in 1858, ten years after the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo, during American expansion into the west. Today, visitors can explore life in a nineteenth century military fort by walking the parade grounds and touring five of the original adobe buildings. Learn about the Buffalo Soldiers of the 9th Cavalry who were stationed at the Fort from 1876 to 1879. Discover Colorado’s role in the Civil War in the West exhibit. NISN supports leaders in Indigenous communities to develop a network of schools providing rigorous academic curriculum aimed at college preparation while also promoting Indigenous culture, identity, and community investment.
This is not a cookie-cutter approach to schools. Each community has different assets and desires for their next generation, so fellows and schools must be in tune to what those needs are and responsive to them.
